Common questions
- Restore a purchase. Open the purchase screen in the app and choose "Restore Purchases". Purchases are tied to your app-store account and restore for free on your devices.
- What is free. Free forever, for every dog in the house: the whole first land of tricks plus Sit, Come and Place, five Play Park games, Surprise Me and cuddles, the daily routine and reminders, the photo diary, the treat budget, “My dog ate…” and every safety tool, Lost Dog Mode, Speak Dog, up to 10 records per dog, and joining a family pack someone invites you to. Safety tools, the diary and extra dogs are never paid, and anything that ships free stays free.
- The three plans. Pup unlocks every trick and every Play Park game. Plus adds the Plus wardrobe and dens, 2× coins, a weekly streak shield, a second daily spin, the growing-up photo reel, the weekly Pupdate report card and unlimited Pup Papers. Pack adds family sharing, with who-did-what, the family leaderboard, monthly Pack outfit drops and early access to new tricks. Each plan includes everything in the plans below it.
- Prices and renewal. Pup is $7.99 a month or $47.99 a year; Plus is $19.99 a month or $119.99 a year; Pack is $42.99 a month or $249.99 a year (US prices; the store shows your local price before you confirm). Any free trial is an introductory offer on a yearly plan, shown in the store before you confirm and offered once per account; the app reminds you two days before a trial ends. Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price for the same period unless renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the period ends. Change plans or cancel any time: on iOS, Settings › your name › Subscriptions; on Android, the Play Store › Payments and subscriptions. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.
- My plan lapsed. Nothing is deleted or hidden. Every dog, diary entry, photo, record, outfit you earned and bit of training progress stays on the device and stays yours; only that plan’s extras lock again. A family pack stops syncing new changes, and every phone keeps what it has.
- Family sharing. Family sharing uses iCloud and works on iPhone. The person who starts the pack needs Pack; anyone they invite joins free by tapping the link. Everyone must be signed in to iCloud. To leave, open Family in the app and tap Leave this pack; the person who started it can tap Stop sharing.
- “My dog ate…” is not veterinary care. It is educational information that tells you how worried to be and who to call. No app can examine your dog. If your dog ate something that might be harmful, call your veterinarian, an emergency clinic, or a pet poison helpline right away. Mochi Pup never tells you to make a dog vomit at home.
- Training methods. Every lesson is force-free and reward-based. If your dog shows aggression, fear that does not ease, or a sudden change in behaviour, see your vet and a qualified behaviour professional.
- Lost Dog Mode. The flyer is made on your phone from the details you enter. Nothing is posted anywhere unless you share it.
- Restore purchases. Open any plan screen and tap Restore purchases; your plan is re-checked with the store.
- Reset or delete my data. Your work is stored on your device. Clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app removes it. There is no server-side account to delete.
- Report a bug or request a feature. Email us with what you expected and what happened — screenshots help a lot.
Sources & attribution
Mochi Pup’s training curriculum follows force-free, reward-based methods consistent with the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior’s 2021 position statement on humane dog training. Its toxin guidance is educational and conservative by design (any uncertainty rounds up to “call now”), and every urgent result directs you to a veterinarian or a pet poison helpline. Treat-budget arithmetic uses the standard resting-energy formula. Owner tips are general guidance. None of this replaces your veterinarian.
