STOPBRAINROT is a habit game that helps you spend less time doomscrolling, made by BlackRaven AI LLC. Your brain is a pet: it heals when you put the phone down and rots when you scroll. It runs entirely on your device. There is no account and no sign-in, and we designed it to need as little of your information as possible.
The short version
- No account, no login, no name or email required.
- Your data is saved on your device, not on our servers.
- We don't run our own analytics or tracking.
- STOPBRAINROT has no server of its own and makes no network request for its core features: the Rot Check, lock-in sessions, urge surfing, check-ins, the grove, quests, streaks and every game system run inside the app and work with the network switched off. Reminders you turn on are scheduled locally by your phone. There are only two exceptions. Buying or restoring the optional GIGABRAIN membership is handled by Apple’s App Store or Google Play’s own purchase system (Google Play Billing on Android), and the receipt it returns is checked by our subscription provider (RevenueCat) so the app knows whether the membership is active; that check carries an anonymous store purchase identifier and the receipt, never your answers, check-ins or progress. And if you choose to watch an optional rewarded ad (see below), Google AdMob loads for that ad only.
- STOPBRAINROT may show ads; advertising partners' policies are linked below.
Information we do not collect
We do not ask for, collect, or store personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, or photos. We have no user accounts and no server-side profile of you. The only time we see your email is if you choose to email our support address.
Data stored on your device
Your Rot Check score, your brain’s name, your streaks, neurons, grove, quests, check-in answers, pact roll-call answers, trophies, boss and daily-run progress, letters from your brain, cosmetics, lock-in history, chosen “danger zone” reminder time and app settings are stored locally on your device (in the app’s private storage under the key stopbrainrot-v1). They are included in your phone’s own device backup, if you use one, and are never uploaded or transmitted by the app. Share cards are drawn on your device and handed to your phone’s share sheet only when you tap share; the link on a card carries only the score and brain name the card already shows. If you choose Save Image, the card is saved to your Photos with your permission. Deleting the app, or using “factory-reset brain” in Settings, deletes all of it.
Advertising
STOPBRAINROT may display advertising provided by third-party ad networks; see their linked policies for how they handle data.
Purchases
If STOPBRAINROT offers in-app purchases, the transaction is handled by the app store (Apple App Store or Google Play) and processed for us by RevenueCat, which manages entitlements and receipts. We never see or store your payment card details. RevenueCat may process a purchase/receipt identifier to unlock what you bought and restore it across your devices. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy, the Apple Privacy Policy, and the Google Privacy Policy.
Analytics
STOPBRAINROT does not include our own third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. Any limited, aggregated diagnostics you receive come from the app stores' standard reporting (for example crash counts), which is governed by Apple's and Google's policies, not ours.
Children
STOPBRAINROT is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will address it.
Ads on iPhone and Android
Rewarded ads are served by Google AdMob through the Google Mobile Ads SDK, and only after you tap to watch one. Before the first ad, Google’s consent form is shown where the law requires it (for example in the EEA and UK). On iPhone the app then asks Apple’s tracking permission; if you decline, ads are non-personalised. On Android, Google’s SDK may use your device’s advertising ID; you can reset or delete it in your phone’s Settings (Privacy › Ads, or Google › Ads, depending on the phone), and ads follow the consent choices you made. When an ad loads, Google may process your IP address (from which approximate location can be inferred), device and advertising identifiers, ad interactions and diagnostic information to serve, measure and secure ads. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services. GIGABRAIN members never see ads.
Purchases on iPhone and Android
On iPhone, GIGABRAIN is bought through Apple’s App Store; on Android, through Google Play Billing. Apple or Google processes the payment; we never receive your card details. RevenueCat checks the receipt or Google Play purchase token using an anonymous, randomly generated app-user ID (not your name or email), and processes the product, transaction and membership status and basic technical information such as app version, platform and IP address. None of your answers, check-ins or progress are sent.
Notifications and permissions
Reminders are local notifications scheduled by your phone; nothing is sent from a server. The app asks for notification permission (on Android 13 and later, the system notification permission) only when you choose reminders during setup or turn them on in Settings, and you can switch them off in the app or in your phone’s settings. Apart from network access for purchases and ads, the app does not use your camera, microphone, contacts or location.
Data summary (Google Play Data safety)
- Collected only if you watch a rewarded ad: approximate location derived from IP address, device or advertising identifiers, ad interactions and diagnostic data — processed by Google for advertising, ad measurement, fraud prevention and security, and shared with Google as the ad provider.
- Collected only if you buy or restore GIGABRAIN: purchase history and an anonymous app-user ID — processed by RevenueCat and the store to provide and restore the membership.
- Not collected: your name, email, Rot Check answers, check-ins, pact answers, progress, contacts, photos or precise location.
- Security: data sent by these services is encrypted in transit. We do not sell data.
Deleting your data
There is no account to delete. Settings › hold to factory-reset brain, or uninstalling the app, deletes everything the app stores on your device (on Android, Settings › Apps › STOPBRAINROT › Storage › Clear storage also works). To ask us to delete your anonymous RevenueCat purchase record or your support emails, email support@blackravenai.com with the subject “Data deletion” and, if possible, the order ID from your store receipt. Deleting data does not cancel a membership, so cancel it in your store account first. Apple and Google keep their own transaction records, and Google handles advertising data, under their own policies.
Your choices and rights
Because we don't hold a personal profile of you, most control lives on your device: you can clear the app's local data. Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA over data our purchase partners process; you can exercise those directly with those partners (linked above) or contact us and we'll help point you to the right place.
International users
BlackRaven AI LLC operates the app and support from Wyoming, United States. Our purchase partners may process data in other countries under their own safeguards.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy we'll change the date below and post the new version at this URL. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
