Candles, a page, a seal
Write freely or answer tonight’s prompt, mark how the weather inside you feels, and press your page closed with a wax seal.
Someone wants to compare skies
Open this link on the iPhone where Wax & Wane is installed, and your two charts will be read side by side.
A moon-phase journal
Wax & Wane.
A private journal that keeps time with the moon.
Light three candles, write a page, and seal it in wax. Each night is read against the real sky — the moon’s phase and sign, the planets, your own chart — so over a cycle you begin to see how you move with it.
Coming to iPhone
A small nightly ritual.
A long view of yourself.
Read against the real heavens
Moon phase and sign, retrogrades, eclipses and your natal chart — all calculated on your phone, never fetched from a server.
See how you move with the moon
Moods mapped across the phases, a letter at each new moon, and a Year Ahead written for your chart.
Compare skies with someone
Send a link and see your two charts read together — no accounts, no profiles, nothing uploaded.
Free to keep. Private by design.
Wax & Wane is free to download, with unlimited pages. There are no ads and no tracking, and there is no account. Your journal stays on your device. We can’t read it, and we never sell it or use it to train AI.
An optional upgrade, the Almanac, adds the full Year Ahead, deeper readings, pattern insights and more. Planned US pricing is $59.99/year, $7.99/month, or $129.99 once. Any eligible free trial and your local price are shown in the app before purchase.
How subscriptions work
Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm, or when a free trial ends. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel in your Apple Account subscription settings. Restore Purchases is in the app’s Study.
Wax & Wane is being prepared for the App Store. It isn’t available yet; the download link will appear here at launch.
